The origin of ancient DZI beads and etching of the symbol lines on these beads remain a mystery till today. It has been known to originate from Tibet and has been around for 2000-2500 years. It is not easy to own an ancient DZI bead. To own an ancient DZI bead with unique symbol lines is even more difficult and rare. So we are proud owners of nine genuine ancient DZI beads.
We found and bought our first pair of Heaven-And-Earth ancient DZI beads coincidentally. We fell in love with them at first sight! Somehow, things fall in place nicely and smooth sailing for us in many ways after we bought the ancient DZI beads. For example, I was called up for a job interview four days after wearing the Heaven-And-Earth ancient DZI bead and offered the job with the expected pay. Wearing these ancient DZI beads give us a sense of serenity and calmness of mind. Heaven-And-Earth symbolizes balance and harmony.
These two ancient Heaven-And-Earth DZI beads we own are very small in size compare to most typical Heaven-And-Earth ancient DZI beads. One of the beads has very rich dark brown color with very distinct ivory symbol lines. The other is hazel brown with ivory symbol lines. Despite their small size, they are very sturdy. Both beads have strong vibrant colors and they are flawless. We wear them as necklaces daily. They look beautiful and very unique.

This is the one we love most. It is an ancient DZI bead with Ta-motif which enables one to have good health, matrimonial harmony and family bliss. This ancient DZI bead is extremely rare with unusual symbol lines. According to the experienced ancient DZI bead collector, he has seen such ancient DZI bead only thrice! But this Ta-motif ancient DZI bead is really very unique. Initially, we were quite skeptical about buying it because the bead color and the symbol lines looked very light and pale. We bought it eventually due to the unique symbol lines but it was definitely not love at first sight. However, after wearing it for a few months, the bead color started to grow darker and the intricate symbol lines became more prominent. The changes are very obvious. We do not know why. It could be due to wearing it daily and in contact with body temperature that changes the color. This bead also looks quite translucent which makes it extremely special.
Ta-motif
We have a very rare ancient DZI bead known as the Buddha Hand ancient DZI bead. It resembles two curled palms place side by side to each other. Unlike most ancient DZI beads with black body and white or ivory symbol lines, this Buddha Hand ancient DZI bead is orangey-brown in color with black symbol lines. First glance at this ancient DZI bead looks like the stripes on a tiger body. This is how I describe it. It is very beautiful and unique ancient DZI bead.
Buddha Hand
Unlike most Six-eyed ancient DZI bead, the six eyes on this bead are arranged in a special way - two eyes on the body, two eyes each on the two ends. What really stands out is there are a lot of natural reddish color cinnabar dots on this bead. Again, these dots become more obvious after wearing the bead for sometimes. We did not see so many cinnabar dots on this bead when we first bought it. These dots are believed to have resurfaced from the inner core of the bead. Very special!
Six Eyed
We bought a pair of Two-eyed ancient DZI beads which I am wearing it as bracelet while my husband wears it as necklace. Wearing this pair of ancient DZI beads reminds us of those dating times whereby we wore the same T-shirt! Two-eyed ancient DZI bead also symbolizes matrimonial harmony and family bliss.

We also have a pair of ancient DZI bead with wave design. Both have very rich colors and clear distinct symbol lines. Ancient DZI bead with wave design symbolizes wealth and fortune. We are contented with what we have now.
